In late 2000, Currency Creek was officially recognized as a Wine Region. With the influence of Lake Alexandrina and the Southern Ocean, the maritime climate provides a subtle, continuous temperature, allowing our grapes to ripen to their full potential.

As such, the vines have early bud burst, with the last of the reds being harvested as late as the end of April. During this prolonged period, the grapes develop delicate, complex characteristics which are particular to this Region.

Our 160 acres of vines comprise mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Grenache, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
